Dive Boat Seeker
The Boat
Seeker is a Lochin 38 which was custom built for diving by Andy Smith of Skin Deep. It has set the standard for all technical dive boats to follow. Seeker has a cruising speed of 12-13 knots which is capable of getting her out to wrecks like the Flying Enterprise in just over 3 hours. The wheelhouse is capable of seating about 8 divers with a further 4 bunks down in the forepeak. The diving deck can comfortably seat 12 gas divers with stages and has a centrally positioned lift for exiting and re-boarding after the dive.
The Skipper
The skipper of Seeker is Steve Wright, he has been skippering dive boats since the mid 90's first working in Weymouth and then skippering Loyal Watcher for 6 years while working for Deep Blue Diving. During this time it is fair to say Steve has traveled further than any other dive boat skipper in the UK and possibly Europe. He has now brough this knowledge and experience together with a great dive boat and is now running in my opinion the best recreational and technical dive boat in Plymouth. Loading and unloading
Seeker runs from the Mount Batten side of the water in Plymouth using ether the public landing pontoon by the Mount Batten Hotel or the Mount Batten Centre Pontoon just by the "In Deep Dive Centre".
